McDonald’s has announced a new collaboration with Australian rapper The Kid Laroi – but the musician’s go-to Macca’s order is missing one controversial detail.
Available from Thursday, May 26, The Kid Laroi’s ultimate Macca’s meal includes the iconic cheeseburger, medium fries, medium frozen Coke and six-piece chicken McNuggets with barbecue sauce.
The star is the first-ever Australian “Famous Orders” – an initiative that highlights celebrities’ Macca’s orders which began overseas in 2020.

While there’s bound to be excitement over the first local star, the rapper has chosen to ditch the ever-controversial pickle in his cheeseburger – a detail that won’t go unnoticed.
“My all-time favourite Macca’s order is a frozen Coke, chicken McNuggets and cheeseburger, but I’m definitely not about the pickle,” he said.
The star said he is a “huge Macca’s fan” recalling the times he visited his local outlet in Waterloo, Sydney for a frozen Coke on a hot Aussie day.
McDonald’s senior brand manager Liz Whitbread said it’s no secret The Kid Laroi is a massive Macca’s fan and has been for many years.
“The fact Kid Laroi is a global music sensation and born and bred right here in Australia, is what made him the perfect fit for their first local Aussie Famous Order,” she told news.com.au.
However, even she admitted the lack of pickle may leave some Macca’s fans “divided”.
“The Kid Laroi’s go-to order celebrates our iconic core menu that we know our customers love … although the no pickles may leave some people divided,” Ms Whitbread said.
She said the McDonald’s Famous Order is a global phenomenon that has always generated huge excitement with customers across the world.
“We can’t wait to see what our customers think of our first local collaboration with The Kid Laroi.”
The fast-food giant started highlighting celebrities’ orders in 2020 when it teamed up with rapper Travis Scott and caused a quarter pounder shortage for some of its restaurants in the US.
