According to a report from Page Six.com, R. Kelly appeared in a Chicago court this Tuesday for the child sex abuse allegations. Apparently, there is yet another video of R. Kelly having a sexual interaction with an underaged girl.
The videotape was given to prosecutors by the lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who is currently representing the accuser. As it was previously reported, Avenatti came to prominence as the attorney who represented Stormy Daniels during her brief media spectacle with the president, Donald Trump.
Interestingly, Avenatti isn’t a squeaky clean figure either, following fraud and embezzlement charges against him. Moreover, Stormy accused Michael of acting improperly as her attorney, including withholding information and starting a crowdfunding site without her permission but using her likeness.
The case gets even weirder with R. Kelly considering Kim Foxx, the top-state prosecutor, is under investigation herself for mishandling the Jussie Smollett hate-crime hoax. Kelly’s lawyer used Kim Foxx’s handling of the Jussie Smollet incident to insinuate that Foxx is “sure to be influenced and wowed.”

At the moment, the legal team working for the embattled R & B legend doesn’t have a copy of the tape and are questioning if the video is even real. Kelly’s attorney-at-law said on Tuesday to the judge that they’re still waiting to see the state’s evidence against him.
Currently, Kelly is accused of sexually abusing three female minors and one woman. The next date in court will be on the 26th of June, just a few months before Harvey Weinstein begins his case following its postponement earlier this year.
Social media’s take on the R. Kelly situation has been diverse, with some calling the connection between Kim Foxx, Jussie Smollett, Michael Avenatti, extremely suspicious, considering each one of the aforementioned individuals is in trouble with authorities for either lying or misrepresenting information.

Jussie Smollett was let off of all charges earlier this year following the allegations that he faked a hate crime against himself for attention and possible benefits to his acting career.
