Sean O’Malley is in hot water with MMA fans after referencing Andrew Tate while trying to explain his open relationship.
The recently-crowned UFC bantamweight champion is in a long-term relationship with Danya Gonzalez and together they share a baby girl named Elena.
‘Suga’, who is known for his rainbow-coloured hair and unique personality, has previously been open about the fact he and his wife aren’t in a traditional marriage.
The UFC star shocked some when he recently provided more details about the mechanics of his relationship during an interview with bodybuilder Bradley Martyn,
“Yeah, no, that ain’t happening’,” O’Malley admitted when asked if he’d let another man be with his wife.
“I’m a king! I pay for everything. I treat Dany like a queen. If I get a little p*** on the side, what does that have to do with anything? I got testosterone running through my veins. It’s that f***ing simple.

“I wouldn’t say that if I was in the opposite position. If I wasn’t paying for everything. If I wasn’t successful in any sort of way, and if I was just, f***ing, maybe an average Joe, it probably wouldn’t be fair. But I feel like I’m f***ing King Kong, baby.”
O’Malley then proceeded to reference controversial misogynist Andrew Tate, who is currently facing allegations of human trafficking, while explaining the dynamic of his marriage.
"I mean, Andrew Tate explains it well. It’s status. Status. I’ve got status, so I can f***ing...,” he added.
“In camp, it’s not a thing. After camp? Dany’s never ‘fine’ with it, she has been, she’s gone through phases. But then we have a baby, and their hormones change.”

O’Malley joked about ‘manipulating’ his partner before clarifying that he is in a happy relationship.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I f***ing treat Dany good as f**k,” he said.
“I’m not f***ing a chick every week, every month? I go half a year without getting ‘strange’. I’m not saying I don’t want it more, but it’s not like I’m f***ing chicks all the time.”
A video of O’Malley’s comments quickly went viral on social media and fans offered their opinions about his relationship with Gonzalez.
One person simply tweeted: “Gross.”
Another wrote: “This alone is why I don’t like Suga Sean.”
A third person said: “Taking stupidity to a whole new level.”
Someone else commented: “Wild a** take. Why get married at that point? You should never cheat on ur wife. period.”
